The authors argue that there has been little analysis of the processes by which gun laws are developed. By use of hunters’ own words and studies made at firearm appeals tribunals the authors also argue that in most cases guns are obtained to allow the owner to kill, and hence there is a fatal attraction to guns. This should be understood in order to make more effective gun laws.
